Mum,
This is my first Christmas ever without you. You always loved Christmas and all the conniving! I remember you would get so excited about the presents you had bought, and it would be so hard for you to keep them secret from us. I still remember how your smiling face and eyes lit up on Christmas Day as we opened our gifts for you. I think I actually enjoyed that more than I enjoyed opening the presents. Gosh, I'll miss your smiling face this Christmas. I'll miss your energy and enthusiasm.
