Mum, You always used to sign your name as "Mum x" when you sent me a message on my phone. You did not do it so that I knew who it was. You did it, as you told me, because I was the only one you could use that title with. It was just another way for you to show me how proud you were to be my Mum. Well, I was, and am, proud to be your daughter. While you might not be here now, I am, and I will always be proud to call you my Mum.

It has been nearly a year since you passed on. We still think of you every Tuesday, and Ellie misses you lots. I still tell people about how funny and quirky you were, with your fish n chips on a Tues, and laughing your head off at Ellie's funny songs and games. Fond memories of you Pat! All the best xxx

Hi Pat, it's me Ellie. I'm sorry I haven't written in a while. You know I haven't written since before my tenth birthday. I feel really bad because I haven't written in AGES! I created a little tribute for you in my bedroom with (fake) flowers and a candle. Well it isn't a lightable candle but I put a torch in it so it looks like it lights. I walked into my room to tidy and I saw the tribute. It made me think about you and I burst into tears. Mummy gave me a hug and reminded me of MuchLoved. That Is why I am writing to you now! I have got a mentor now called Debbie. She is really nice, as nice as you, but I haven't seen her in person because of bl**dy Corona virus!!!😡😡😡 i am ten now and got a new scooter (from nanny julie), a helmet (from auntie trish) and a Nokia phone (from mummy and adam). I also got more stuff like a stationary set, a bracelet making set, a glass angel set that I speak to in the morning and night, a Peter rabbit suitcase full of stuff and lots more stuff. I still find it hard to grasp the fact that you're gone...

Hi Pat. We wanted to say 'happy spring and Easter' to you up in Heaven. I know you like a drink, so I hope you'll enjoy a prosecco with me as I turned bloody 40 yesterday! Yes, yes, I know I don't look it, but I certainly am feeling it a little with all the joint pain! Gonna have to start taking cod liver tablets if they're safe to take with my other meds ☺ I had a nice birthday at home on lockdown with lovely Ellie and lovely Adam. They made me a cake, and decorated the house with balloons and banners. We had party music on, Ellie did her best mermaid impression in her new paddling pool, and I got drunk on prosecco and helped Adam paint the bird table! All in all it was crazy, love filled day, and I feel very lucky. We miss you, we really miss you at the moment. Ellie talks about you a lot, and we have some tears. I tell her we will visit the church once this lockdown is all finished, and then Ellie can talk to you properly! I like to reassure her that you're always 'present' and she can always talk to you or write to you anyway. We chat to Becky lots which is lovely. I didnt want to get a new mentor at first because I was worried that you would think I was replacing you but then Becky said that you would have wanted me to have someone else to talk to.
